Gnostic Systems is the premier provider of system integration
services to the global microelectronics manufacturing industries.
We are an American based company headquartered in Austin, TX
with offices in München, Germany.
Gnostic Systems was formed in November of 2003 by ex-TRW management
and engineering personnel to address the need for a pure System
Integration Company within the Microelectronics Industry. Gnostic
Systems has taken this Semiconductor Industry need and developed
it into the company′s vision by building a staff of very
experienced semiconductor software integrators who specialize
in EI, ACM, MES, APC/ SPC, and PM.

Michael
J. McDonald
President
Mike is the founder and President of Gnostic Systems I,
LTD since its inception in November 2003. He has over
30 years of experience within the semiconductor industry
in the fields of: Information Technology, Computer Integrated
Manufacturing (CIM), Equipment Automation, MES, Process
Engineering and Manufacturing.
Prior to forming Gnostic Systems, Mike worked for TRW
and Northrop Grumman for 6 years. He held the position
of Director of the Central Region, Manufacturing Solutions
Division where he was responsible for introducing TRW
Manufacturing Solutions into Germany and China. Under
his leadership, TRW performed successful project implementations
for clients such as AMD, Motorola, SEMATECH and Intersil.
Prior to joining TRW, Mike worked for SEMATECH for 2 years
defining the automation communication standards SECS
/ GEM for the semiconductor industry. In addition he
held various positions within IBM East Fishkill, NY (15
years), and Motorola Austin, TX (1.5 years). While employed
at IBM Mike co-author technical papers and patents. |

Jeff Acklen
Vice President,
Business Operations
Jeff has over 20 years of semiconductor industry experience. Prior to joining Gnostic Systems,
Jeff held various positions in business operations management at Freescale Semiconductor in Austin, Texas.
For Freescale, Jeff managed global customer and supplier programs in supply chain
automation, customer service automation and Freescale’s Environmental Compliance
initiatives. Prior to Freescale’s spin-off from Motorola, Jeff spent 5 years managing the
manufacturing automation/B2B roadmap for Motorola’s outsource/foundry initiatives.
Prior to Motorola/Freescale, Jeff spent 8 years at SEMATECH managing the development and implementation of factory and equipment automation standards. As part of the SEMATECH equipment interface development program Jeff managed software development projects on over 60 types of semiconductor process equipment. |

L. Richard
Albani
Executive Advisor
Dick Albani, and his wife Pat, currently manage their
consulting company, Manufacturing Automation Consultants,
LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dick retired from TRW in 2002 where he was a VP & GM
responsible for the Manufacturing Solutions vertical
of TRW’s Global Information Technology Division.
His organization provided manufacturing information technology
solutions ranging from eBusiness to ERP implementation
to factory floor automation systems integration for the
semiconductor, high tech electronics, automotive, industrial
and pharmaceutical industries. His global organization
consisted of 625 people located in 26 offices in 14 countries.
Dick has more than 25 years of experience in the information
technology arena. Under his leadership, TRW performed
successful project implementations for clients such as
AMD, LSI Logic, Motorola, Silterra, and Infineon, Firmenich,
FCI, Schlumberger, Caterpillar, Lear, Sumitomo, Conexant,
PROMOS and ST Microelectronics. In addition, he developed
TRW partnerships with industry leaders such as Brooks
Automation, Applied Materials, Asyst, Camstar, and Hewlett
Packard. |
